Santa Ynez Valley
Located to the north Santa Barbara proper and 25 miles south of Santa Maria, the Santa Ynez Valley is intriguingly arrayed east-to-west. Approximately thirty miles long, the Santa Ynez Valley has three distinct microclimates: in the western reaches of the Valley is the recently designated Santa Rita Hills AVA. Perhaps the coolest growing region in California, the Santa Rita Hills AVA is rapidly developing an image for exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. About twenty miles to the east of the Pacific Ocean, the central Santa Ynez Valley is considerably warmer, and appropriate for Bordeaux white and red varieties as well as Syrah.

Lincourt is blessed to source fruit from many prestigious Santa Ynez Valley vineyards including two estate vineyards: the Alamo Pintado and La Cuesta Vineyards. Planted in 1973, the estate has under vine Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc.
