Lincourt Sauvignon Blanc, Santa Ynez Valley

Incorporating Sauvignon Blanc fruit from the warm Santa Ynez Valley, Lincourt’s primary grape source is its estate vineyard, Alamo Pintado. Planted in 1973, the Alamo Pintado Vineyard is one of Santa Barbara County’s eldest vineyards. Planted to 4 acres of low-yielding Sauvignon Blanc the Santa Ynez Valley bottling is often supplement with Sauvignon Blanc from other world-class vineyards. Employing classical winemaking techniques, fruit for the Lincourt Sauvignon Blanc is whole-cluster pressed, barrel fermented and aged for 5-7 months in neutral French oak. In cask the wine finishes both primary and malolactic fermentation.
